FAQ

What is The Font?

The Font is a church online. We're a community of groups with an online focus.

Where did you get that name from?

The Font means spiritual fountain. Our faith in Christ makes us fountains springing up life. Our name is inspired by a conversation that Jesus had with a Samaritan woman in John 4, when he says,

“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”” John‬ ‭4:13-14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So that they can become a well.

What makes you different?

The online platform is our priority. We serve a generation that connected through social media and technology. Relationship, careers, and transactions are primarily performed online. Our generation is cultivated by social technology.

We're not church with groups. We're a church of groups. The Font is centered by the online community and establishes small groups through social technology.

What makes small groups different? We are doing LifeGroups to disciple people and empower them to lead their communities. Our campus is a campus of small groups who may never physically attend our location.

What do you guys do?

  • We gather on Thursdays and Sundays (after launch)
  • We disciple people through LifeGroups and Hangouts
  • We serve the community through ministries of mercy to address the needs and pain of our city.

When do you guys meet?

  • Thursdays and Sundays (after launch)
  • We have Hangouts throughout the week.

Why build a community online if you're going to have a church?

We believe our church community is the community online. Our future physical campuses facilitate community organization, gathering, and outreach.

How much money do you need to raise?

Our launch is a simultaneous inauguration of both our online community and our first physical campus in South Florida. Our physical campus will facilitate broadcasting, content curation, gatherings, and meetings. To launch this first campus, we will need:

  • $64,000 to secure a facility, renovate, and acquire necessary equipment
  • $56,000 to cover the first two quarters of operational expenses

Studies show the primary reason church plants fail is due to lack of financial support in the first three years. It takes 3 to 5 years for a church to become self sustaining.

Our total cost is $120,000 and we have raised $20,000.

We are seeking $100,000 to launch responsibly.

Where would my money go?

Please refer to our launch page for more details.

We've raised $20k. We need $100k.

What is your vision?

Our is vision is to Bring Faith to Life.

To see those who are from Christ to live an active life like Him.
